We at Elf Club are constantly developing new ways of working and, if you've taken a good look through the site recently, you will have noticed the disappearance of the Elf Card in favour of a more environmentally-friendly discount voucher system. Now, instead of producing your Elf Card each time you want to access an offer, you merely have to hand over a voucher or offer code to the merchant - you can access these vouchers only by joining the club. Vouchers and codes are simpler and less damaging to the environment, and ditching the plastic is why we could bring down the cost of your Elf Club Membership by 25% last year.

The site is now easier to navigate, has a fresh new look yet still retains the vital information visitors need to know about your business.

Important Changes:

Business pages are still provided free of charge, and updates to your business’ exclusive Elf Card Holder Offers will continue to be free as often as you wish. However, you’ll also notice that we’re now offering businesses the facility of maintaining their own page(s). For an annual fee of just £25 you can take full control of your page – adding text, images, video – even your own affiliate ads and social media links to twitter, facebook, linked-in etc.– you can change the look and feel of your page and use it to add value to your existing web presence or make it your primary source of marketing. You can even sell your products directly from your page! Find out more at Do It Yourself.

You’ll also notice (over the next few weeks) a facility for people to access your exclusive Elf Card Holder Offer by buying their Elf Card directly from your page – for every card bought from your page you will earn 50p! (Please note – This facility will only be available to businesses providing exclusive Elf Card Holder Offers – so if you’re not offering one have a think about how you can attract more business from Elf Cardholders by offering them a deal, and if they buy their card from your page you’ll be earning a small added bonus on top of the increased revenue from them!)

As a result of introducing the Do It Yourself facility we will be reducing the amount of time spent updating businesses pages and, eventually, by the end of January 2012, we will be withdrawing it altogether (other than to update / revise cardholder offers). Please ensure that you check your page for errors and omissions, and, if you need to change anything, but don’t want to Do It Yourself, let us know before January 31st 2012.  After this date we will be introducing admin charges for all updates (except revisions to Elf Cardholder offers and page banners.)

Causes: Since the launch of Elf Club we have sought to support local causes – choosing to limit this support to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice over the past few years. We have now extended the support to all local charities, sports associations and voluntary / community ventures, and we’re in talks with a number of local organisations about this. You’ll see from our Causes page that we are now working to support a number of them – but we need more. If you are aware of a local good cause that would benefit from additional revenue, let us know.
