Golf at Wynyard

Set in 200 acres of mature parkland, The Wellington Course is rated as one of the UK’s best golf courses. Stretching 7000 yards from the back tee, this outstanding 18 hole, par 72, championship course includes sweeping fairways, panoramic views, elevation changes and over 80 bunkers to challenge the most experienced of golfers.

Greens and tees meet elite USGA performance standards and ensure all year round play. Short game facilities including bunker play, chipping and putting greens as well as an extensive driving range allows players to master their game.

The Wellington Course offers a magnificent test of golf and those who triumph follow in the footsteps of great professionals including Seve Ballesteros, Colin Montgomerie, Padraig Harrington and Justin Rose who have all played at Wynyard Golf Club.

Facilities

Short game facilities at Wynyard Golf Club include chipping and putting greens, bunker play and a driving range. However, the Club is also home to The David Leadbetter Academy, one of the most influential sports academies to promote golfing excellence on a global scale. As one of only 20 coaching facilities worldwide, fully qualified DLGA instructors provide one-to-one tuition to players from complete beginners to touring professionals.

Clubhouse facilities compliment the very high standards of golf on The Wellington Course. Private locker rooms are available and the Pro-Shop stocks an extensive range of designer clothing, footwear, accessories and sports equipment from Puma, Galvin Green, Adidas, J.Lindeberg, Callaway and TaylorMade.

The bar & lounge offers a very relaxing social environment and this is used regularly by members, guests, local residents and families with children. It is a very popular venue for light lunches, business meetings, drinks with friends and traditional Sunday lunches.

The Duke Suite Restaurant

Described as 'one to watch' with a menu that 'wouldn't be out of place in an of-the-moment brasserie', The Duke Suite Restaurant at Wynyard Golf Club is creating a stir amongst food connoisseurs.

A team of highly skilled chefs provide guests with a very enjoyable dining experience, and source the very best produce and local ingredients to create menus that promote modern British cuisine.

Food is served daily (gastro and bar menu) and guests/non-members are very welcome. Opening hours: Mon-Thurs from 8am-8pm, Fri-Sat from 8am-9pm (weekly specials board also available) and Sun from 8am-6pm (traditional Sunday lunch menu served from 12pm-4pm. Please note this menu changes weekly).
